THE COLORADO HISPANIC GENEALOGIST (Winter 2016) - "This new book by Henrietta and Paul is really going to help us find our ancestors. They chose some great tips and tactics and included photos of documents as examples for almost every tip. I really liked the chapter on Brick Walls and Deadends and will have to try some of the tips they describe. I think even experienced genealogists will find useful ideas in this genealogy checklist! It appears that Henrietta and Paul included something for everyone in their list of tips. Now each of us needs to determine which of those tips might lead you to find new information on your family history. The book mentions using State and Federal archives as sources of information. We in the Denver area are fortunate to have State Archives readily accessible and the Federal records available at the new MARA facility in Broomfield are worth a visit. Denise and I touched briefly on some of the Tips and Tactics in this review. You may order a copy of the book for yourself or to give as a Christmas gift. I understand that you are able to order a copy via Amazon.com.
