Synopsis
The awakening process is nothing less than terrifying. After years of numbing, suppressing, and running from her problems, Pearl Cassel finds herself lost in the outskirts of her mind, slowly being eaten alive by her crippling depression and suicidal thoughts. Driven into danger by the darkness within, Pearl suddenly gets abducted by a deranged hypnotherapist who puts her under into this place known as The Maze. However, this Maze is unlike any other maze. The Maze takes place within the mind, carving through the darkest parts of her psyche, leading her to nothing but the cruelest, horrific obstacles she could face. Pearl is forced to face her demons, yet one can only take so much. To escape The Maze, she must peel back her layers, feel the deaths of her ego, and ultimately, unravel her truth within. About the Author
Emerging author Alexandra Russell believes her mission here on Earth is to help others. Her deep fascination with mental health, a bizarre interest in horror & thriller genres, and a passion for writing have compelled her to become an author and a mentor.After years of battling health issues, fighting depression, and peeling away her own layers, Russell realized she had to guide others to do the same.Before embarking on her writing journey, Russell faced many challenges which pushed her into becoming the woman she is today.
