Synopsis

Fish Tails is a humorous love story set amongst rivers and streams, lakes and lagoons and the big, beautiful oceans that surround us here in America. The tale takes you through fifty years of the author’s addiction to fishing; from the early days of freshwater bassin’ to stalking marlin in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The book chronologically introduces you to the author’s early fishing mentor and their times together, and moves on to other friends and family members who have shared in his lifelong journey. It shows how Bradbury not only fell in love with fishing, but how he also developed a love of the outdoors, and a deep respect for conserving our natural resources for the generations that follow. But most of all, it’s a great collection of funny stories that the author has chosen to share with us. You’ll be hard-pressed not to crack a smile, or even chuckle out loud, at some of the crazy adventures he’s had the good fortune to participate in over the years. Everybody’s got their own stories, but Bradbury puts his together in an easy-going manner that you’re sure to enjoy!

About the Author

Mark T. Bradbury now claims the east coast of Florida as his home after almost twenty years of seacoast living. Residing on the Treasure Coast, named after the incredible gold and silver-laden Spanish galleons that crashed on the nearshore reefs in 1715, he’s been reading and listening to the legends of the local treasure seekers since he arrived. His enthusiasm and exploration in Mayan culture, coupled with this fascination for treasure hunting, led to "Serpent’s Curse", his first novel, a combination of the two interests. He has also gone on to use the Treasure Coast as the setting for his exciting new sequel called "Serpent’s Return". The waters of the Indian River Lagoon system and the nearby Atlantic Ocean have stoked his fishing fires since arriving here so many years ago. Bradbury feels that Florida and its waters have played a crucial role in quenching his angling interests, brought to a high point when he became involved in Coastal Angler Magazine in 2008. Publishing a local fishing magazine was just what the "Muses" ordered to ignite his writing career; he is now writing full-time and is currently working on his fifth book.
