Book 3 of our UFEES Discovery Series presents still more examples of the sort of problems that the cave people may have encountered. The problems shown in this book illustrate that sometimes one tool is not enough to overcome every obstacle. As in Books 1 and 2, the solutions presented in Book 3 are again based on the use of what are commonly referred to as "simple machines" - machines that have no moving parts. The simple machine used as a point of departure in this volume is the lever and fulcrum. Once beyond this introduction, the focus of the book shifts to "putting ideas together." That is, using multiple simple machines to solve a common problem.
