Synopsis
John Cesari is a gangster turned doctor living in Manhattan saving lives one colonoscopy at a time. While on a well-deserved vacation, he stumbles upon a murder scene and becomes embroiled in political intrigue involving the world’s oldest profession. His hot pursuit of the truth leads him to the highest levels of government, where individuals operate above the law. As always, girl trouble hounds him along the way making his already edgy life that much more complex. The bad guys are ruthless, powerful and nasty but they are no match for this tough, street-smart doctor from the Bronx who is as comfortable with a crowbar as he is with a stethoscope. About the Author
John Avanzato grew up in the Bronx. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology from Fordham University, he went on to earn his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine. He is currently a board-certified gastroenterologist in Geneva, New York, where he lives with his wife of twenty-eight years. Inspired by authors like Tom Clancy, John Grisham, and Lee Child, John writes about strong but flawed heroes. His first two novels, Hostile Hospital and Prescription for Disaster have been well received. Temperature Rising is the third novel in the Cesari series. The fouth novel is in the works.
