Emmanuel Combe is a former student at the École normale supérieure (LSH). He obtained a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is full professor at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Skema Business School. From 2012 to 2022, he has been Vice President of the French Competition Authority. As a specialist in cartels, competition policy, antitrust, and new business models, he is the author of numerous books on these subjects, including La politique de la concurrence (3rd ed., La Découverte, 2016), Le low cost (2nd ed., La Découverte, 2017), Petit manuel (irrévérencieux) d'économie (Concurrences, 2018), Économie et politique de la concurrence (2nd ed., Dalloz, 2020), Competition Policy: An Empirical and Economic Approach (Wolters Kluwer, 2021), Chroniques (décalées) d'un économiste (Concurrences, Prix lycéen "Lire L'Économie" 2022).
