About the Authors
Laura Krauss Melmed is the bestselling author of children's books that include Capital!: Washington D.C. from A to Z, I Love You as Much . . ., and New York, New York!: The Big Apple from A to Z. She is the recipient of the American Library Association Notable Award, the National Jewish Book Award, the Oppenheim Gold Award, and the Parent's Choice Award, and she is a former president of the Children's Book Guild. She lives in Washington, DC.
Violet Lemay has illustrated nearly 50 books for kids, 7 of which she also wrote. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Violet is an accidental digital nomad. (Her husband's job has taken them all over the place!) Her hobbies include yoga, dancing in the living room, and attempting to quit drinking coffee.
Ms. Lemay is represented by MB Artists, NYC.
