About the Author

Luann Swim has taught students from preschool to college age, in classrooms, one-on-one in tutoring, and in after-school programs. She uses concepts she leared in graduate work at the University of Colorado at Denver. But, with a B.S. in horticulture from the University of Wisconsin she also has years of great work experience, from production to sales. She is perhaps proudest to be in her final years of the "Graduate University of Learning to Parent (GULP)," with children in both college and high school. All this experience working with both adults and kids has given her a unique perspective regarding what it takes to be successful in both school and the workplace.
