Dr. Igor Burdenko received his doctorate in Sports Medicine in his native Russia, where he was an athlete, trainer, coach, and sports medicine professional. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Athletic Trainer Association. Today, he runs the Burdenko Water and Sports Therapy Institute in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Burdenko has received numerous awards for his work and has a long list of prestigious clients, including Olympic gold-medalist Oksana Baiul, Olympic silver-medalists Nancy Kerrigan, Paul Wylie and Alex Despatie, Boston Celtic’s Kevin McHale, NY Nicks Allan Houston and many others.
