If you are building a unique rod to suit your personal taste, then fine. This book may not be for you, other than for ideas and the pretty pictures. if, however, you want a rod that is true to a particular period, with the correct combination of parts, paint, wheels, interior and accessories, then this guide is essential to getting it right. Street rods have evolved over the years, as tastes changed and technology advanced. A seasoned hot rodder presented with a picture of a car featured in an old magazine can generally say with surprising accuracy when it was built. replicating such styles so that it is unclear whether the hot rod is a new-built or a genuine vintage survivor is far more difficult.
