About the Authors

Peter W. Kick, a native of the Catskill Mountains, is a New York State-licensed wilderness guide and trip leader. The author of several hiking and mountain-biking guides, including AMC’s Best Day Hikes in the Catskills and Hudson Valley and Discover the Adirondacks, he has also written for Backpacker, Outdoor Traveler, Sailing, and Adirondack Life.

Peter W. Kick, a native of the Catskill Mountains, is a New York State licensed guide and AMC trip leader. The author of several hiking and cycling guides, including AMC’s Best Day Hikes in the Catskills and Hudson Valley and AMC's Discover the Adirondacks, his work has also appeared in Backpacker, Sailing, Cruising World and Adirondack Life. Mr. Kick is a life member of the AMC. He lives in Saugerties, New York.
