About the Author

Martin is a lifelong backpacker and outdoorsman with experience on trails near and far, including the American Southwest, Sweden, France, Iceland, Nepal, Peru, and more recently, thousands of miles (and counting) in the Mid-Atlantic region. Martin leads, organizes, and teaches for the D.C. Ultralight Backpacking group. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
