About the Author

Jim Wright has written two other recent books on the natural world: Jungle of the Maya and In the Presence of Nature. Sir John Burton, president of the World Land Trust, has called his books stunning . Kevin Watson, a graduate of Oxford University, began his career as a contributor to the university newspaper. Since then, this avid birder and traveler has photographed more than 1,200 species worldwide.
