W. Town Andrews, Jr. was born in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1956. He went to college at Washington College in Chestertown, MD and graduated from Penn State in State College, PA. He has lived in , Colorado, California and Cebu, Philippines, serving 2 years in the US Peace Corps as a Marine Fisheries Volunteer. He has traveled extensively in the Americas, Asia, India, and Europe, both on business and as a tourist. Andrews, his wife Sue and their 2 children live in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. A songwriter, composer, banjoist and vocalist, Mr. Andrews musical expression can be heard on 3 albums by The Balahounds. He was also a founding member of rip-roaring old-time string band The Plywood Cattle Company, and plays currently with The Greystone Ramblers. Andrews directs communications and advertising for Paratherm Corporation, a manufacturer of thermal fluids for the processing industries. He speaks fluent Spanish and Visayan, and commutes to work on an electrified bicycle.
