About the Author

Billie Hancock was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts and moved to Martha s Vineyard when she was four. Once her father rejoined the U.S. Army, her family lived and traveled in America and abroad, returning each summer to the Vineyard. After raising three children in Florida, Billie moved back to the island full-time, where she met and married Herb Hancock. They went lobstering together every summer for nineteen years until Herb passed away in 2001. A grandmother of nine, Billie now lives in Florida. Lobstering with my Papa is Billie s first book.
