From U.S. presidents to U.S. Opens, from Olympics to Super Bowls, Scott Murray has covered them all. As an Emmy Award winning sports director and anchor at NBC Dallas Fort Worth, Scott has shared his love of sports, commitment to the community, and support of numerous charitable causes with thousands of Texans over the years.Although Scott has since retired from television news, he continues to be a sought-after motivational speaker, as well as a host, moderator, auctioneer, and master of ceremonies at charitable, corporate, and community events. However, most of his time is spent managing the communications and production company that he and son, Doug, own together, Murray Media, which creates, develops, produces, and distributes new television programming.Scott has been honored as Sportscaster of the Year seventeen times and won back-to-back Emmy Awards for Best Sports Anchor in 2000 and 2001. In 2002, he received the prestigious Silver Circle Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. But the honor he cherishes most was being named Father of the Year by Father of the Year, Inc.
