"This does what no book on production has done before - you actually can go out and make a movie after you read it. Maureen Ryan is one of the best independent producers working today and this book will show you why. Like her, it's thorough, thoughtful, and highly enjoyable. Whether you are a novice or a professional, there is much to learn here."---Ben Odell, Producer, Padre Nuestro, Partner, Panamax Films
"Finally, a book that lays out, practically, how to get through a shoot. No one ever tells you this stuff --- you're expected to learn it the hard way... until now. Written by one of the best producers I've ever worked with."---Paul Cotter, Writer/director: BOMBER; Estes Avenue
"This is THE book for producers. Nowhere else will you find the wisdom, insight, and tried and-true, nuts-and-bolts know-how found here."---Sheila Curran Dennin, Writer/director: RED FLAG; Becoming Medusa
