About the Author

The author is an independent programmer with a primary interest in computer games. He started programming in 1989 when his parents purchased a book explaining how to program text adventure games in BASIC. He started using GW-BASIC in 1989, moved on to Visual Basic 4 in 1995, QBasic in 1996, and learned C++ in 1997. Other languages he has experience with are: Java, Scheme, ML, Prolog, and Erlang.

He began working on a degree in 1998 at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and is currently working on finishing my Bachelors in Computer Science at the University of Buffalo. He has also written a chapter in the book "Game Programming All In One" by Premier Press.
