Synopsis
The MindBody Audio Program is a set of three cassettes comprising a complete educational program for mindbody treatment of back pain, Tension Myositis Syndrome, and other disorders. Tape One is a recording of a one hour seminar entitled "The Mind: The Missing Link in the Back and Neck Pain Puzzle". This seminar has been attended by hundreds of individuals at Dr. Schechter's Beverly Hills office.
Tape Two is entitled "TMS: Diagnosis and Treatment". This tape will teach you about how a diagnosis of TMS is made and what a treatment program consists of. Tape Three is entitled "The Psychology of Tension Myositis Syndrome". It's a dialogue between Dr. Schechter and Donald Dubin, MFCC, a psycho-therapist who has treated hundreds of individuals with a diagnosis of TMS since 1996.
In total, the educational program, on audio cassettes, will teach you about this remarkable mindbody approach to back pain, and other disorders. This set of three tapes has been recently digitally re-mastered and will also be available on audio CD's.

About the Author
David Schechter, MD is a board-certified physician who has explored the mindbody connection in his medical training and practice for nearly twenty years. Inspired by the writings of George Engel MD about the biopsychosocial model of disease and the work of John Sarno, MD on Tension Myositis Syndrome, he has incorporated an integrated approach into his clinical practice and writing.
Over the last six years, Dr. Schechter has specialized in the treatment of back pain, and other disorders, using a mindbody approach. The essence has been to teach patients not to fear their pain and to heal by acknowledging and connecting to the underlying emotional issues. Dr. Schechter has an academic appointment at USC School of Medicien and has taught medical students and residents. He is a frequent lecturer at medical conferences, has spoken to psychotherapists, and has developed a complete educational program for TMS including workbook, Audio Program, etc.
