Synopsis

It compares the body to a machine and uses terminology such as "sprinkler system" for the blood capillaries and "egg factories" for the ovaries. Extra snippets of information are given in fact boxes which explain health problems or issues and the book ends with a section of care and servicing (looking after yourself) and "other models" (the differences between animals and humans).
