Synopsis

When pianist Juan Sebastián Lebonté returns home for his father's funeral, he inherits more than a piece of land. He inherits a mystery.

While touring Europe, Juan learns of his father's sudden death. Returning to Buenos Aires, he finds himself confronting a crumbling marriage, buried family secrets and an unexpected inheritance: a piece of land in Paso del Rey, occupied by a community of workers who once dreamed of revolution.

As he begins to unravel his father's past, Juan becomes drawn into the story of a forgotten factory, a vanished political era and the elusive American pianist whose music shaped his father's life. What starts as a search for answers soon becomes a journey into the tangled legacies of family, memory and belonging.

Atmospheric, intelligent and quietly compelling, Hudson is a novel about grief, inheritance and the traces people leave behind.

From one of Argentina's most acclaimed contemporary writers.
