This is the first monograph to be published on the American sculptor, Jedd Novatt. With an essay by Melissa Hamnett, Curator of Sculpture at the Victoria and Albert Museum, a newly compiled chronology, and over 200 colour reproductions, this book presents a comprehensive overview of Novatt's life and work to date and includes numerous images of Novatt's monumental sculpture installations worldwide.
Novatt's work today clearly and assiduously stands apart from the mainstream of our times. Emotionally rich and intellectually rigorous, his structures stand rooted in both the history of sculpture and the physical world in such a way that they articulate something authentic about a moment in time but ultimately go beyond their frame to reflect on our presence at large.
