Synopsis

When the Bognor Regis Write Club had the idea to hold a short story competition, they little realised several things: the time and effort it would take to run and judge such a competition, and the incredible quality of the stories that they would receive. These stories have been a privilege to receive and a joy to read. They are ingeniously plotted, with richly drawn characters and some deliciously unexpected conclusions.Ten judges have chosen their favourites and now they are presented here for you. 24 stories have made it into this book, created by award winning writers, full time professionals and gifted amateurs. Every story is a carefully crafted, page-turning, mini masterpiece. From spine-tingling thrillers to laugh-out-loud humour, and all stops in between, within these covers is a cornucopia of literary talent from the very best of West Sussex Authors.
