Synopsis
The purpose of this book is to provide the beginner in energy insurance with an overview of the products available from the commercial insurance markets. Energy insurance, whether upstream or downstream, is a complex area, and this book is seeking to provide a simplified and summarised briefing to enable students to familiarise themselves with key issues. It does not pretend to be a comprehensive review of the chosen subjects, or a detailed analysis of the coverage. A more thorough analysis of the various insured interests is provided in the third edition of my publication entitled “Upstream and Offshore Energy Insurance” (third edition), published by Witherby Seamanship Ltd.
