Synopsis
What shall we write? is an accessible, informative, inspirational and interactive guide to creative writing in its many forms for budding young authors. It contains introductory information on the building blocks of writing a story – such as characterisation, plotting, genre, use of language and dialogue – as well as enjoyable writing exercises, top tips and advice on getting your work published or self-publishing. There are activity pages on which you can write your ideas and complete the exercises. The simple language, breezy and reassuring tone and hands-on approach will help to build the confidence of new writers and encourage them to explore and nurture their imaginations.

About the Authors
Cath Senker is a writer of non-fiction for children on diverse subjects such as history, world religions, and the environment. In 2018, she won the Educational Writers’ Award.
Isobel Lundie is an illustrator and designer. She graduated from Kingston university with a first class honours in illustration and animation. Since graduating, Isobel has specialised in children’s publishing and has made books for The Salariya Book Company, Usborne, Random House, DK and The Good Book Company. She likes creating detailed work with wacky characters that makes children laugh.
