Synopsis

The lasting legacies of love aren’t easy to navigate, and for Honey Fontaine they can even feel suffocating.

Having spent much of her adult life dodging her mother’s attempts to marry her off, 30-year-old Honey finally reaches her wit’s end and devises a plan to enlist the flirtatious Ashley Elliot, a well-off club owner, to create the illusion of a serious relationship. Although not her usual type, the theatrics soon cause her mind to wander to the possibilities of what a relationship with Ashley could be, blurring the lines between reality and her own fabrication.

Her mother, having changed her own life by marrying into comfort and means, continues to search on behalf of her daughter and eventually finds someone that Honey unexpectedly finds attractive – despite her changed situation. We move with Honey through this entanglement as she is now forced to make a heavy choice: stability or passion, comfort or risk?

Reaching across time and weaving in the candid perspectives of friends, lovers, and everything in-between, Love Again speaks to the dynamics of desire, following the journeys of several characters to and from love with honesty, humour, and in many cases true bravery.
