About the Author

David Fellingham is well known as a songwriter, worship leader, Bible teacher and author. He was on the eldership team alongside Terry Virgo at Church of Christ the King (now Emmanuel) Brighton from 1979 - 2010. He now lives in Horsham with his wife Rosie and they are part of Lifespring Church. They have two sons, Luke and Nathan and six grandchildren.

When the Coronavirus first impacted the world, many people were asking me such questions as: Does the Bible have anything to say about this? Is the pandemic God’s judgment on a sinful world? Is it a sign that Jesus is returning?For more than fifty years I have been involved in church leadership as a Bible teacher, pastor and worship leader. I have been engaged in both prophetic and evangelistic ministry.I guess questions have been fired at me because I have lived through many phases of history, both in the world and in the church. I have had the joy of teaching God’s word in churches and conferences in many nations and continents across the globe, and although I am officially retired from church leadership, retirement is not a word in my vocabulary or lifestyle.This breadth of life experience has created a network of relationships across the world and it is a privilege that I am still asked questions such as these.I have personally asked myself the same questions. I have wanted to see if through the crisis of this particular pandemic, at the time of writing, whether there is a prophetic thrust which God is bringing to the church.From boyhood I have had a fascination with eschatology and after years of study I am still learning, yet I have not found answers to every detail of end-time teaching.However, there are certain truths which to me are, theologically speaking, non-negotiable.The ‘last days’ is the whole period between the resurrection and the Second Coming of Christ.
