Synopsis

What lies behind the tartan curtain? Did the rough winds that blew through Scotland move anything or has it simply died away leaving destruction and ruin? What is the future for Scotland in the light of the Referendum s awakening? Roch Winds guides us through the rocky terrain of Scottish politics, following the rise of the SNP and the fall of Labour, with a focus on the unprecedented political dominance of the Scottish National Party in Scotland in the wake of the storm that blundered through the country. The authors provoke debates regarding the intent behind the parties of the UK. Through their own experiences within the parties for independence and the Labour Party, the authors discuss the radicalism that Scotland s needs if anything substantial is to be achieved. Dripping in dark humour, the authors dissect the politics of their time in order to reveal their own thought provoking opinions on the masks that are worn in politics.
