Bernadette Maclean left County Longford in Ireland in the sixties and came to London to study nursing. She worked in a large psychiatric hospital for over thirty-five years. After retiring from her nursing career, she started writing songs and poetry. Her prior work has been published by the likes of Irish World and The Longford Leader, (The Recession, Willie's Will, The Gathering and Fracking ). A number of her poems have also been read out during the Frankie Kilbride Radio Show.
