This delightfully illustrated book is the third of Basabi Banerjee's stories about Poochie, a venerable old Maltese terrier who lives with his family (Mum, Dad, Tipper and Ricky) in Singapore. Mum suggests that the family should host a fundraising party to help unwanted pets. Poochie is not a sociable dog and is far from keen on the idea, but a visit to the animal shelter makes him understand how lucky he is to be looked after by a loving family. And after all, his celebrity status will ensure that people come along to have their picture taken with him, as well as enjoying the delicious food and the entertainment! The party is a huge success and makes Poochie realise that perhaps other dogs aren't so bad after all...
