About the Author

Brian Poxon is Head of Religious Studies at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset. He gained a first class honours degree in Theology and Religious Studies, and a Masters in Holocaust Theology at Bristol University. Brian went on to teach Religious Studies in a large comprehensive school in South Gloucestershire. In 2003, Brian was appointed as Head of Religious Education at Bristol Cathedral School, which proved to be ideal preparation for establishing a Religion, Philosophy and Ethics department at Ballarat Grammar School, Australia from 2008-2012. Whilst in Australia Brian helped to establish the successful nationwide Philosothon event.
