Synopsis

Physician heal thyself... Notes of a Private Doctor is the true story of how one such man did just that. It's a detailed insight, through the eyes of a doctor, into the life of his most challenging patient ever - himself. In this extraordinary account, he explains how his successful 47-year career ends suddenly with betrayal and, ultimately, bankruptcy. Then, within a few months, he is faced with devastating bereavement. Dr Robert Lefever looks back on his life to find out how the hell it all went so wrong, and why he didn't see it coming. Along the way he uncovers the false beliefs that led to betrayal, as well as the facts that would have prevented it, had he known them at the time. He also reveals how he got through the crisis and eventually re-built his life. What he learned in the process can be applied by anyone.
