About the Author

EDDIE CHAPLIN is Professor of Mental Health in Neurodevelopmental Disorders at London South Bank University. He has extensive clinical experience in mental health services for individuals with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders across the lifespan.

STEVE HARDY is a Consultant Nurse in Learning Disabilities at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. He has worked in mental health services for people with learning disabilities for the past two decades and has widely published in this area.

LISA UNDERWOOD is a health services researcher with the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has a background in psychology and a special interest in autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
