Steve Taber (1924 – 2008) was a world –recognised honey bee researcher who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture first at Baton Rouge then at Tucson. On his retirement he founded “Taber’s Honey Bee Genetics” to continue his work with bees. It was said that “If Steve said it – it would be correct”. This volume is a collection of his writing for The Beekeepers Quarterly – full of wit and wisdom

Teacher in the East of England, Phipps has now moved to Greece where he keeps bees today. He is the editor of the Beekeepers Quarterly and Beekeepers Annual and an expert in beekeeping practices around the world.
