About the Author

Born in 1951 in Barry, Ireland, Patrick Lodge is a retired university lecturer, and was the principal of the St Martin s College Carlisle campus of the University of Cumbria. His poetry has been published widely in journals and magazines, including Envoi, Ink, Sweat & Tears, Mediterranean Poetry, Revival, and The Stare s Nest, and has been translated into Vietnamese for Van Viet. He was the winner of the 2015 Blackwater International Poetry Competition. His first collection of poetry, An Anniversary of Flight, was published in 2013 by Valley Press. He currently lives in Tadcaster.
