About the Authors

Richard Edwards is a retired geologist. After graduating from Leeds University he worked as an exploration geologist in Uganda, Swaziland, France and Cornwall. Subsequently, he was appointed as Senior Lecturer in Geology at the Camborne School of Mines in Cornwall. He has published (with Keith Atkinson) Ore Deposit Geology and its Influence on Mineral Exploration and Elemental Forces which is an account of his geological career. He is still active in the field of adult education and geological heritage.
Richard is married to Veronica and they have four daughters and five grandchildren.
