Synopsis
Tom Weir as a popular television personality climaxed a long life as explorer, naturalist and photographer. His dedication took him from impoverished Glasgow to the ends of the earth and this selection, some never before published, touches on all his many enthusiasms, a book to appeal to all who hold dear the memory of a notable Scotsman. Wiith the full cooperation of Tom's widow, Rhona Weir, Hamish Brown has gathered a selection of his writings and presents them chronologically with an illuminating foreword. About the Author
Tom Weir (1914-2006) was one of Scotland's most easily recognisable and popular figures. For more than fifty years he contributed a monthly article to The Scots Magazine and was its most popular contributor. He was host of the television series Weir's Way which ran for many years on STV.
