Synopsis

This book takes you on a 40-day journey that shows in detail God’s plan for how a believer should manage their finances. It shows the spiritual and financial journey that is found in the Bible. Each of the 40 day studies uncovers a bit about what the Bible says about our faith and how we handle our money, wealth and possessions. For each day there is a topical commentary, Bible verses, ‘words of wisdom’ and a prayer as you reflect on what you have read. Blueprint aims to help you encounter what God says about how we view and handle our money. Organised into five sections, Blueprint looks initially at some foundational principles as you embark on the journey of discovering what the Bible says about: personal finances, earning and spending, debt, home and family, giving, saving and investing and making a difference. Read the biblical truths that will enable you to recognise how to live a life of financial freedom.

Review

Blueprint is literally a God-send! The Bible is an immensely practical book and has much clear common sense to give when it comes to handling money. This is a subject that causes many Christians to feel nervous - and we can feel guilty if we think we have too much and equally bad if we think we have too little! We live in a time when many of us are suffering from the consequences of both governments and individuals not handling money as the Bible suggests. The problems of unemployment and over-indebtedness would be greatly reduced if these principles had been followed through. Mark has written a devotional that will really help change our lives. Full of spiritual wisdom and practical insight it offers not just practical help but eternal hope as well. Covering a range of topics from priorities to integrity in handling money; from debt through giving to saving it is packed with godly wisdom. The devotional also strongly reminds us that we belong to another Kingdom and that, thanks to our beloved Jesus, the wonder of heaven stretches before us for evermore. Not only that, but at the end there is a detailed list of all the 2,350 verses that provide guidance on all kinds of money matters. It will therefore be a really useful reference as well as a devotional that will inspire you to grow in faith. It is a truly wonderful book and I wholly commend it to you.
