A Great Industry: Where Our Tea Comes From was produced in 1937 by Macdonald Gill for the Tea Market Expansion Board. A collection of quirky and colourful pictorial maps depicting the local landmarks, industries and wildlife of Britain's main tea suppliers in the early twentieth century: India, Ceylon, Java and Sumatra, with an inset map of their relative positions. About the Author
MacDonald Gill was perhaps the 20th Century's foremost cartographical artist. His maps are lustrous decorative pieces that illustrate a tremendous range of the last century s British culture, commerce and history, from pre-WWI Theatreland to Europe's aerodromes in the 1930s.
