This book sets out to provide a detailed examination of Newhaven Fort during the Great War and to identify the men, as far as possible who served in the Fort, and to describe the activities taking place there. It was necessary, therefore, to extend the scope of this book to identify and provide details about the other units and the activities of the Newhaven Garrison to best describe the role that Newhaven Fort played during the war, especially as part of the Garrison.
