About the Author

Peter Tait was born in New Zealand and gained his Masters degree in History at Massey University. After a career teaching at junior and senior schools in both New Zealand and England, he finally moved to England in 1998 to take up the position of Headmaster of Sherborne Prep School. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a long-time devotee of the writings of Thomas Hardy.
