Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. A wonderful account of the life of a person (1924-2009) who, as books editor of the Irish Press, was midwife to generations of Irish writers. He established the weekly New Irish Writing pages in 1969 and edited many anthologies. Ita Daly married him in 1972 and presents a rounded, sympathetic portrait of a complex character who was also a noted novelist and short story writer. Daly (b.1945) herself was a prize-winning author. Sticker on front cover: Signed by the author. Full signature on title page. A clean, tight copy. Only flaw is some writing on rear free end paper.
