Synopsis
This edition of the Religious Studies ISEB Revision Guide reflects the revised 2011 Common Entrance syllabus, and includes a brand new section on Contemporary Issues. Pupils are given a summary of all prescribed Old and New Testament texts, together with a comprehensive analysis of the issues raised by each.
There is an additional revision section covering the history, structure and key beliefs of the six major world religions: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism. Pupils can perfect their exam technique using the sample exam questions included in the book, and a comprehensive glossary defines all the key terms required at this level.

About the Author
Michael Wilcockson studied Theology at Balliol College, Oxford. After completing his PGCE at Pembroke College, Cambridge he was appointed Head of Divinity at Aldenham School, then The Leys School, Cambridge and then Eton College. He has been Head of Philosophy at Eton since 2012. He was a Farmington Fellow at Harries Manchester College, Oxford in 2003 and Visiting Scholar at Pembroke College, Cambridge in 2010. He is the Test Coordinator for A Level Religious Studies for a large examination board, chief setter for Common Entrance Religious Studies for ISEB and the author of many textbooks for Common Entrance, GCSE and A Level. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors.
