Synopsis

Readers are invited into the everyday, the tragic and the whimsical with a natural ease. In pieces such as "Anniversary" and "Life through the Long Window", surface themes rapidly burrow towards deeper meanings. Lynch's courage in facing the real and putting it in words that score to the heart is possibly her greatest strength. Yet one of the first things that will strike you is the humour within these pages. Pieces such as "Knock and Nugget" carry the authenticity of sharp Cavan wit. Lynch's warmth, edgy humour and spiritual reservoirs are ingredients that lead us into what is ultimately everybody's story.
