About the Author

Consulting Editor Edward Smerdon is the managing partner of the London office of international law firm Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold LLP. He specialises, and has 15 years experience, in the field of directors and officers labiality, and is currently involved in claims against directors in the United Kingdom, the European Union, the Far East and the United States. Mr Smerdon has become a leading authority on the interrelationship between D&O insurance and indemnification, and lectures widely on the subject.
