Synopsis
Developed in response to the popularity of M&K Update’s popular portfolio of Blood Result courses. This book is an essential must have for Nurses and Allied Health professionals who encounter ‘routine’ haematology and biochemistry results. The book achieves its aim, which is to give an overview of the interpretation of routine blood results to a readership that has a grasp of anatomy and physiology but no in depth knowledge of laboratory findings. It concentrates on investigations that are routinely requested and not on the more esoteric laboratory tests, keeping the text simple and focussed. The comments on normal and reference ranges are particularly valid. There are also a number of case studies to develop understanding further.
