About the Author

Actor, teacher, director and writer, Nigel Rideout has been involved in professional theatre, film and television for the past 45 years in the UK, USA and Australia. In 1981, Nigel created the now highly successful theatre department at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where he has continued to teach more than 500 alumni in theatre, musical theatre, dance and broadcasting courses. Prior to WAAPA, Nigel was the Director of Studies and Deputy Principal of LAMDA (London Academy of Dramatic Art) for seven years. He has been Head of Theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama and Head of Voice at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.
