Synopsis
Ten years in the making, First Light is Chris Agee's long-awaited second collection of poems. Transnational in scope and theme, the volume moves between New England, Ireland, the Balkans, England, Russia and Mexico. Many of the poems deal with historical violence or change; the counter-historical nature of the imaginative order; or the natural abundance of Mediterranean and North American wilderness.

Chris Agee teaches at The Open University in Ireland, and is the Editor of Irish Pages, a journal of contemporary writing based at The Linen Hall Library, Belfast.
