About the Author

Sara Hopkinson is the co-author of the RYA Book of Navigation Exercises and the RYA Competent Crew Practical Course Notes. Hopkinson is also author of Fernhurst's VHF Afloat and VHF Companion. She is an experienced sailor, a Yachtmaster Instructor and Examiner, a corrector of Admiralty charts and a part-time Coastguard. She is uniquely qualified to give students an accurate but sympathetic introduction to the wonderful art of navigation.
