This is an absolute must in helping children to develop creative ideas for writing. This book: brings out children's imagination with these easy to use and inspiring kits, one each for KS1, lower KS2 and upper KS2; helps children to 'mind map' or discuss their imaginative ideas about characters, settings or situations; keeps children's ideas in a 'writing sketch book' under a section labelled 'My Imagination' and use this to help them to be inspired when it comes to writing stories; and, includes '2 minute sketch stories' to help children to understand characterisation and to build up a history of characters they can then use in the 'build up' of their stories. Tried and tested - they get children thinking, talking and enjoying learning to become a writer, regardless of their ability. Power Point slides and printable worksheets mean that "Creativity Kits" can be used either with interactive whiteboards or on paper.
